Growth Form and Foliage
- Small shrub to a large tree up to 30 m tall.
- The bole can be 50 cm in diameter and unbranched for more than 20 m.
- Leaves greenish white; axillary leaf, corymbose panicles, about 14 mm (0.6 in) across in inflorescences of 4 - 24 cm (2 - 9 in) wide.

Fruits
The fruit is a pale yellow, globose drupe, around 5 – 15 mm in diameter, the mesocarp is woody or sub-woody.

Secondary forests, woods or thickets on lower hills, evergreen forests.

- The plant is gathered from the wild and used locally as a food flavouring, medicine, and for various other purposes.
- Leaves and fruits and other parts of the plant contain aromatic oils with a resinous scent.
