Is KL East Park open to public? And what are the opening hours?

Yes. The park is open daily to all from 7.00am-6.30pm
*Please be informed that the last entry is at 4.30pm

Entry must be pre-booked to avoid overcrowding and ensure all visitors enjoy the Park to its fullest. At the same time, this will keep our Park healthy and preserve its biodiversity in the long term.

How do I pre-book my visits to the park?

  1. Click on the “Book Your Hike” button
  2. Click on a slot of the date and time of your choice
  3. Fill up the registration form and click “Submit”
  4. Wait for an approval email from Park Admin. A QR code will be emailed upon every successful registration
  5. Scan QR code upon entry and exit

*Note: Booking can only be made 72 hours (3 days) in advance.

Why do I need to pre-book my visit to the park?

Time slots are fixed in order to stagger arrival times and manage visitors to the Park. This is to minimize any impact on the resident flora and fauna, to avoid overcrowding for safety reasons and to ensure visitors get the best hiking experience at the park.

How do I get there and where do we park?

There are various ways for you to get here. However, we strongly encourage all visitors to take the public transport and minimise their carbon footprint when visiting the Park.

By Train

  • Take the LRT to the Gombak station
  • Once you disembark, you may proceed to take a 20-minute walk to the park.

By Car

  • Please be informed that parking is only available at KL East Mall and KL East Sales Gallery
  • The Park is located 10 minutes away from these parking locations

Is there an entry fee to enter the park?

No, there will be no entry fee required to access the park

Do I need to show any proof of identification before entering the park?

No. Visitors are required to present their QR code received upon their successful booking

How do I know if the park is closed?

For Park closures, we will notify accordingly on our website and visitor booking page.

However, for any unprecedented closures due to rain, we will inform all visitors as soon as possible prior to entry.

How long is the hiking trail?

2km from the entrance to the peak and back to the starting point

9.

Does the park have guides?

No. But as a precautionary measure, the trails are clearly marked.

10.

Does the park have facilities?

There is a guardhouse, an events pavilion and toilets.

Along the trail, there are shelters, seating areas and sculptures with a Lookout Point mid-trail.
